You’ve seen our women’s swim guide (hopefully, maybe?), and now it’s time to turn the spotlight to men’s swim looks for the season. Sure, the old-money aesthetic that’s taken over our feeds these past few years is timeless, but we’re calling it: this summer is all about having a little more fun with your wardrobe. Think bolder colors, unexpected textures, and maybe even a print or two. It’s okay to wear something other than white linen, and we’re here to help make that happen.
Like our women's Splish Splash Guide, we have organized our men’s looks into similar categories, tropical fruits! First up: The Pomegranate for the social butterfly meets secret intellect type. Next, we have The Pineapple, an outfit for the guy who turns every trip into a story that becomes your go-to anecdote. Then there is The Papaya, the go-with-the-flow friend who’s mere presence keeps the vacation disagreements at bay. The Mango is an outfit fit for a summer day that leads to an inside joke you’ll still be referencing 20 years later. After that, we have The Coconut, a hard-to-crack friend that will have your back when the time inevitably comes. Finally, The Dragon Fruit, the guy who adds so much aura to the group, the trip could never be boring.

The Pomegranate
The Pomegranate is the kind of outfit that has all the elements needed to be the center of attention, without ever looking like it was planned that way. The Pineapple
If you gravitate toward this look, you're telling us you know how to have a good time, and you're definitely not afraid to order a piña colada now and then. This is the outfit for the guy who somehow always ends up extending his trip by at least a week. By the time you see him next, he’ll be casually dropping stories about finding a secret beach with locals or that one day he went surfing with Jack Johnson. Begin with a crochet shirt to channel the texture of a pineapple and some neutral-toned swim shorts to show you are ready to have a good time, but you also won’t be a liability. Accessorize with it some brown square sunglasses and a robe bracelet to show you are capable of following through on a plan, but you also have comfortable sneakers and a brown tote to help you say yes to every spontaneous side quest. Like the pineapple: interesting, adaptable, and always good company.
The Papaya
The guy wearing this outfit is an essential addition to any vacation. Not only does he know all the hot spots you won’t find in a travel guide, but he’s also the perfect mediator between every personality type. He helps everything run smoothly, and his whole aesthetic just encourages harmony. For this laid-back look, you’re wearing loose striped pants with a graphic tee featuring papayas (obviously). Swap in the cobalt swim shorts when the day shifts gears, and it seems like everyone could use a refreshing swim.
