May 2025

Congratulations, you've made it through another winter depression! That's right, it's finally time for the European vacation you've been planning for months, the boat day on the lake you've been dreaming of, or just an afternoon at your local pool. Either way, you are gonna need a swimsuit, and it's never just a swimsuit, is it? You're gonna need the whole look, because swimsuit season doesn't last for long, so you gotta make the most of it.

We've created a swim look for everyone, organized by some of the prettiest summer flowers. Beginning with the flower of the season, The Plumeria. You are about to see those plumeria claw clips everywhere this summer, so stay one step ahead by wearing one on your swimsuit. Next, we have The Orchid. For some reason, in our minds, orchids and polka dots have the same aura. They both scream expensive, sophistication, and “summer in the Hamptons," just like you will wearing them. We also have The Hibiscus. This flower is the epitome of island girl aesthetic, and you will definitely look the part whether you're actually in Maui or just lying in a backyard with friends. Then, we have The Jasmine. Jasmines are a very romantic, mystical plant, and we thought it would be the most fitting name for our poncho look. Perfect for those times when you want a little cover without sweating through your shirt. Of course, we had to include The Bird of Paradise. A very quirky plant for a very quirky outfit. Finally, we have The Calla Lily. It’s pure, minimal, and nostalgic, perfect for this all white voile and lace look. No matter what summer swimsuit outfit is calling you, we promise, with these outfits you'll be the pick of the bunch!

The Plumeria

Wearing plumeria clips around the house helps us forget we’re perpetually stuck inside working and lets us pretend we’re soaking up Vitamin D through our tiny apartment windows as we daydream about wearing this outfit on the beach. To look like sunshine personified, start with a white triangle bikini, complete, of course, with a plumeria flower detail in the center. Layer on a green crochet maxi skirt for a pop of color. Then go full maximalist with the accessories: a sea charm necklace, oversized brown sunglasses, a gold flower waist chain, a gold anklet, and a white terry beach bag. Finish it off with a pair of brown sandals featuring a gold toe detail, and you’ll be smelling sunscreen and salty air before you’ve even left the living room.

The Orchid

This look makes us want to spend outrageous amounts of money just to be in the Hamptons this summer. Get us to the beach club and in front of a House DJ that everyone seems to know, except us. So, in the words of Jessica Day, it’s time to “rock a lot of polka dots.” The base of the outfit is a black polka dot bandeau bikini, layered under a matching maxi polka dot dress adorned with an orchid flower embellishment. Accessorize with gold and pearl sunshine earrings and a funky basket bag. Slip on some easy black sandals to dance the day away. It’s cool, it’s effortless, and it’s basically your one-way ticket to meeting someone who just so happens to have a summer home in Montauk.

The Hibiscus

Putting a hibiscus in your ear feels as freeing as quitting your day job. It boosts your serotonin so much, you might even find yourself singing along to Mambo No. 5 unironically. This outfit has the next best thing to a real flower: a hibiscus claw clip. Pair it with a checkered crochet triangle top and matching shorts. Finish off this vibrant ensemble with a shell charm necklace, a woven star bag, and strappy sandals for that extra island feel. Don’t blame us if you suddenly consider picking up surfing or testing out every sea salt spray on the market to recreate your beach curls.

The Jasmine

Ponchos in the summertime? Inspired, if you ask us. No longer reserved for grandmothers and knitting projects, the poncho is officially cool again. Much like jasmine and ‘90s rom-coms, it’s whimsical and romantic, especially when sequins are involved. Start with a textured white bikini underneath, then add a white linen skirt to keep things breezy. Layer on a gold chain belt, marbled bangles, gold cat-eye sunglasses, and a beaded pearl bag for added interest and texture. Finish it off with rope sandals, and you’re well on your way to a fairytale summer.

The Bird of Paradise

Our ADHD loves a bird of paradise flower. It’s bright, dynamic, and impossible to ignore. We needed this look to deliver that same energy. And name a louder print than plaid. (Okay, maybe you could make a case for a few others, but we’re sticking with plaid, alright?) At the core: a plaid bikini top and matching bikini shorts. Layer on a pair of crochet cargo pants for even more texture and visual chaos. Accessorize with a contrasting plaid tote bag and a fish pendant necklace. For shoes, we’re going with a jelly slide—because obviously, this outfit needed one more unexpected twist. If a plant can pull off that much of a statement, so can you.

The calla lily

Summer and white go together like champagne and orange juice. This look makes you feel like you’re spending the summer in the Catskills in the '50s. It’s a little innocent with an edge (you know, because calla lilies are beautiful and toxic, seriously, we looked it up). Start with a white ruched bikini, layered under a white voile tank top and matching shorts. Add a layered gold and pearl necklace, gold calla lily earrings, a sequined tote bag, and a lace bandana. For shoes, go with gold strappy sandals. The whole look is giving: umbrellas to shade you from the sun, prosecco at lunch, and the third act of an Italian romance movie.
